Amal’s family has a very crazy life and it her family’s life only gets crazier when she accidentally insults a member of the ruling family of their village. She is then sent away from her sad, heartbroken family to go be a servant and work at their home. Amal has faced many challenges before but nothing like this. Also because they both have problems with the people who lead their hometown. In the book, A Night Divided, Gerta is sneaking around her area to find ways out and in Amal Unbound, Amal is sneaking around and finding out things she is not supposed to know about.
